     After spending a day exploring the beauty of Southern Illinois, travelers are happy to find a restaurant on premises. The spectacular view from the restaurant patio can also be found on the deck of our peaceful and comfortable cabins, which is within walking distance of the restaurant.  Combine both of these and visitors agree that they have found the 'best kept secret in Southern Illinois'.

Kaylors' in season (Apr thru Oct) hours are: M-Th 8am-7pm, Fri. & Sat. 8am-8pm, Sun. 8am -6pm 

Winter hours (Nov.-Mar.) Mon.-Sat.8am-7pm & Sun. 8am-3pm with Sunday buffet starting at 11am. 

     Marty Kaylor has been the concessionaire at the Cave In Rock State Park Restaurant & Lodging since 2002. The family style restaurant is reasonably priced and offers a full range of menu items from sandwiches to steaks, to wings and pizzas, and specializes in the regional favorite, catfish (for which the Kaylor name is well known). We have an all you can eat Sunday buffet that features our catfish along with fried chicken and an additional third meat item, a full hot bar, full salad bar, and homemade desserts. Also in season we offer a friday fish buffet, a Saturday breakfast buffet, and Saturday lunch and dinner buffet. There's always a variety of homemade desserts and a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails for your enjoyment. ​
